Professional Goals and Development

I am committed to ongoing personal growth, education, clinical supervision, and professional development. I intend to continue learning about trauma-informed counseling, group psychotherapy, expressive arts approaches, and evidence-informed clinical interventions while developing the competencies required for professional licensure.

Short term Goals

My immediate goal is to successfully complete my graduate training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and prepare for practicum and internship. I want to strengthen my clinical assessment, case conceptualization, treatment planning, and counseling skills while learning to integrate my background in Person-Centered Expressive Arts with evidence-informed mental health interventions.

I also aim to deepen my understanding of trauma-informed care, crisis assessment, ethical practice, and working with individuals experiencing significant mental health challenges.

Long term goals

My long-term goal is to become a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and develop a professional practice that integrates clinical mental health counseling, experiential group therapy, and Person-Centered Expressive Arts. I am particularly interested in working with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and other complex emotional challenges.

I hope to contribute to clinical settings in which experiential and creative approaches can complement established therapeutic interventions. I am also interested in opportunities to facilitate groups, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and make expressive arts accessible to diverse populations.

Strengths and Areas for Growth

My strengths include extensive experience facilitating groups, creating supportive environments, encouraging self-expression, and adapting experiential activities to diverse needs. My background in education, expressive arts, and international settings has strengthened my flexibility, creativity, and appreciation for different perspectives.

As a developing clinical counselor, I am working to strengthen my assessment and treatment-planning skills, expand my knowledge of clinical interventions, and become more confident in addressing discrepancies and offering constructive therapeutic challenges when appropriate. I value supervision, feedback, and continued self-reflection as essential parts of professional growth.
